R2A-NSWENV-C Coffs Harbour Walkways Youth Project
The project will be based in the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area and will focus on two main objectives:
1. The implementation of Stage 2 paving at Bonville Headland, continuing on from the success of the previous National Green Jobs Corps team.
2. The construction of a timber viewing platform and a raised boardwalk at Green Bluff, Moonee Crown Reserve just north of Coffs Harbour on Crown Land.

• Improve public access and protect an aboriginal site and artefacts from further degradation and disturbance by constructing a paved walkway on the headland.
• Improve safety for visitors by constructing fencing on the headland.
• Reduce sediment due to erosion by pedestrians on the headland.
• Provide better facilities for sightseeing and whale watching activities.
• Improve the biodiversity by the reduction of weeds on the headlands and coastal reserves.
• Improve fauna habitat by increasing the number of native trees and shrubs at the sites.
• Reduce the population and range of the feral bird, Indian Myna, by the construction of wire bird traps for distribution by Council to ratepayers.

R2-WAALB-A Albany Community Garden II
This project aims to provide training to the team through working in a community garden which follows organic and permaculture principles. The primary project will be at the site of the Rainbow Coast Neighbourhood Centre Community Garden in Albany where the team will be involved in establishing vegetable gardens and building structures (e.g. propagation area, pergola). Additional projects may include revegetation, weed control and nursery work works in surrounding areas.
Aims:
• Sustainable food production.
• Enhancing community awareness and skills in sustainable living (food production, rainwater harvesting, waste management, native gardens)
• Enhancing biodiversity through, revegetation and weed control.
• To give participants vocational experience and training in a working nursery
